Hi everyone,

I just wanted to share a bit of my experience using Opendatasoft recently, especially from the perspective of someone working on mid-range hardware. I’ve been working with open datasets for a local community project and found the platform intuitive and responsive even without using high-end specs.

To my surprise, running Opendatasoft on a laptop i5 has been smooth and reliable for most common tasks like publishing datasets, generating charts, and using API features. I expected some lag with large datasets, but it's been manageable with some minor tweaks like closing background apps and using lightweight browsers. This gives me confidence that the platform is well-optimized for a wide range of devices.

Credit to community.opendatasoft.com for being a helpful source of guides and best practices. I believe users who may not have access to premium hardware will still find the platform very usable and efficient, especially if they're handling structured or moderate-volume data.

That said, I’d love to hear from others: What other performance-friendly tips or system settings have you tried on mid-spec laptops? Has anyone compared experience across different operating systems or configurations?

Looking forward to learning from your feedback!
