Hello

I want to publish a dataset that is in a ZIP format. The source is a URL that I don’t want to share for safety/server load reasons. Unfortunately, ODS unzip it automatically.

I just want an other URL pointing toward the same zip file… is it possible?

Thank you

Merci

Hi,

When you create a dataset, you have the opportunity to add an attachment. The attachment size is limited to 240mb.

Other than that, I don’t see any solution to the problem you are facing.

I hope this solution works for you. If it does not, please get in touch with your CSM so we could figure out a custom solution for this.

Regards,

Anthony

Hello Tristan!

Sorry for this late reply,.

Unfortunately, we automatically unzip zip files to extract their content and put it in a dataset. We cannot create a dataset out of a zip file since it does not contain any data except the files that are inside.

If I understand correctly, you would need a dataset where you only have one record, and its content would be an URL pointing to the file ?

Best regards,

Anthony

Hello,

Yes, I would like to provide a URL that points to a zip file, similar to what is possible on this platform: https://transport.data.gouv.fr/datasets/syndicat-mixte-des-transports-en-commun-de-lagglomeration-clermontoise-smtc-ac-reseau-t2c-gtfs-gtfs-rt

The zip file I want to publish is hosted on a server that I prefer not to make publicly visible, which is why I am considering using ODS.

Is there a solution available with ODS?

Best regards,

Tristan
